Iron ores can be formed of several different minerals; the most common are hematite and magnetite. DSOs, including the midgrade products Rio Tinto and BHP produce from Australia's Pilbara region and the highgrade 65% Fe fines Vale produces in Brazil, are predominantly hematite products.
