Always carry a pump with you on the water so you can top off the tubes after you've been underway for a bit. The cool water shrinks the air in the tubes and they get soft. Top them off once and you are usually good.

12/03/2019 · The tubing has holes in it as does the kayak and I bolt the tubing across the kayak behind me whenever I am going to use the trolling motor. I actually use a very light 10 lb thrust vintage minn kota trolling motor for the Kayak. I also shortened the shaft on it. Motor may be 12 inches from the rear of the kayak when mounted. Works well.

I use this on a Sevylor 8ft Fish Hunter 250 raft and it works perfectly with my Minnkota Endura 30 trolling motor. Fits the boat snugly. If you get one you'll notice that the ushaped bolts that hold the wood to the poles are facing inward in the instructions.
